"Oh my, that's really hard!" Amanda softly ran her fingertips over
it. Rock hard.

"I've never seen one so hard either." Lee groaned.

"What are we going to do?" Amanda held it in her hand.

"I guess we'll just have to try and soften it up?"

"Any ideas on how we can?"

"Maybe if you squeeze it with your hands."

Amanda squeezed. "It won't give an inch. Maybe I can put it in the
microwave."

Lee took the fruitcake from her and tossed it in the trash. "We'll
just tell Phillip's girlfriend it was delicious. She'll never know."
